Peter Voser’s tenure as CEO of Royal Dutch Shell is approaching its end. When asked by the Financial Times a few days ago if, looking back, there was something he regretted from his days in office, he responded by saying that his positive expectations of US shale gas had proved exaggerated. Although it has been widely known for months that Shell has withdrawn from much of its shale business, Peter Voser’s statement has nonetheless produced considerable discussion amongst advocates and opponents of fracking.

ENERGLOBE asked Mr. Voser in Daegu what exactly he was talking about.
