Dr. Frank Radtke, ENERGLOBE’s editor-in-chief, recently travelled to Tehran at the invitation of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and the Berlin Center for Caspian Region Studies (BC CARE) at the Freie Universität Berlin. His purpose: to deliver two talks and take part in a series of top-level discussions (participants included the heads of the Institute for Political and International Studies [IPIS], the Iranian Association for Energy Economics [IAEE], and the Institute for International Energy Studies [IIES]). The subject of his talks was the EU’s new “European Energy Security Strategy” and the new emphasis being placed on “energy foreign policy” in Berlin and Brussels.
On June 28, Radtke met with Dr. Majedi. Over the course of an hour-long exclusive interview, they discussed, among other things, Majedi’s recent appointment to Iran’s ambassadorial post in Germany.
