We need an independent energy policy
John Hofmeister, the former president of US Shell, about the challenges of the next energy decades

John Hofmeister joined Royal Dutch Shell in 1997 and served as the president of Shell Oil Company from 2005-2008, following 25 years at major energy consuming companies, including General Electric and Nortel. He is a member of the National Energy Security Council and the founder of the nonprofit Citizen for Affordable Energy. Energlobe met him in London to ask him about the „game changer USA“ between reality and illusion, about the chances of energy independence and becoming a great – may be one of the greatest – energy exporters worldwide and about his book „Why We Hate Oil Companys“, written in 2010. What are the pages wich have to be rewritten today? Do we still need a Federal Energy Ressource Bord (FERB) for energy politics as the Federal Reserve Bank (FED) is for the financial sector?
